A romantic and historical series about life on Marstrand.

The year is 1822 and life is tough on Marstrand. The herring has disappeared, and many have left to seek their fortune elsewhere. But not the Westerberg family. They have fished on Marstrand for generations and now Oscar has taken over the baton from his father. But the father is anything but happy when he hears that Oscar has sold the herring warehouse to some strangers.

Margareta Högman has just arrived in Marstrand with her father, Ture. And it is businessman Ture who has bought up the old herring warehouses - the plan is to transform them into a magnificent spa hotel, which will attract people to the island beyond the fog.

The two rival families actually have the same goal but are blinded by the desperate situation that prevails on the island. And in the midst of all the misery, love begins to sprout. Margareta and Oscar's relationship is the hope and faith in the future that everyone needs so much, but will they dare to risk it all?

Beyond the Mist is the first part of Kurorten Marstrand, a romantic and historical series about a mythical island in the rugged coastline.
