Helena's life has really changed in just a few years. When she stands outside on the farm in Fjällnäs with her dog Selma and looks out over Lake Malmagen, she can hardly believe it's true. She lives in the most beautiful place imaginable, she has her own restaurant and now the cultural barn is also about to be inaugurated. But while she is happy about everything, she thinks about how tired she is, how much time and energy it takes.

An offer comes out of nowhere: A couple who have experience of similar businesses - and a personal connection to Helena's farm - want to buy it from her. Suddenly, she really has to think about what she really wants with her future.

For Kjell, life has been rolling on, always at a fast pace. And surely everything is as it should be? His wife Mona seems to have found a life of her own since her long-standing back problems are gone. And his daughter Louise is going to marry her beloved Henke. He himself will continue at the furniture store as he has always done, what else is he supposed to do? At the same time, something is bothering him. Retirement is approaching, a realization that life is not infinite. How has he really used his days?

While the festivities are succeeding each other, Helena is stressing over everything that needs to be prepared, worrying about her dear Sonja who is getting increasingly tired and is happy about the care that Alex is showing her. But how will she get her life together, and what does she ultimately want to do? Maybe Sonja once again has the solution to everything, is a walk in solitude what she needs to be able to look ahead and find her answers?
