Emilia is in her early thirties and ready to buy a villa, a dog and a better used Volvo. She also wants children. Preferably many. Preferably recently. She is with Charlie, who doesn't seem ready to give up his carefree surfing life, but she chooses to turn a blind eye to that little thing. He probably just doesn't know that he wants to be a father.
Little sister Madelen has everything she dared to dream of. She is newlywed, has an exciting job in the television industry and her apartment is like it was taken from a booth at a furniture fair. Everything is set for the next step. It's just that her biological clock is not ticking, at all.
When Madelen makes a decision that Emilia cannot support, not only does the sisters' relationship hang by a thread, but Madelen's entire stable foundation is shaken, and she realizes that she may be about to lose everything that is really important. At the same time, Emilia is faced with a crucial and seemingly impossible choice. Does she dare to let her heart rule?
Love You, Love You Not is the first part of a series where we follow the Lind sisters.

Reviews:
“A contemporary novel about two young women in the inner city of Stockholm, the sisters Emilia and Madelen. Emilia is a dessert chef at a hip restaurant on Södermalm, but would rather get married and have children as soon as possible, while Madelen works with TV productions and is newlywed. She doesn’t want to have children so quickly: she wants to have more interesting assignments at work before it’s time to go on maternity leave.
It’s Eleonor Sager’s debut, and it’s a worrying approach: is it just going to be a superficial depiction of morality with flat contemporary markers? But she places great emphasis on depicting today’s workplaces and demands, which is unusual and gives a good picture of contemporary everyday life. It becomes a warm, loving story about how desperate dreams and conventions clash with reality, about complicated love, family life and friendship. An unusually well-told story about modern lifestyle ideals.” - Lotta Olsson, Dagens Nyheter
"An easy-to-read chick lit I thought and started reading. And sure enough, the first book in the promised series about the Lind Sisters has most of the elements of the genre. Two sisters, fairly successful in their own right. Madelen works for a TV company and has recently married her handsome, successful husband. They live in a better apartment in Stockholm’s inner city where Madelen is close to the running track on Djurgården. Right now she’s pushing the time on the mile but the next goal is a marathon. “Running a marathon is not an achievement, it’s a hygiene factor.” That’s how it goes in Madelen’s gang.
Emilia is the little sister and an established dessert chef at a renowned restaurant. Her boyfriend is wild and lovely – surfer and photographer Charlie leaves just enough space for Emilia to also have time to hang out a lot over drinks with her best friend Jonas.
But then the author throws in two biological clocks. Emilia's that ticks violently. And Madelen's that doesn't tick at all. In combination with the expectations of the outside world about when the two sisters are really ready for children, it gives the book an extra twist.
A really sensitive topic, attacked from two sides. I read non-stop." -Blekinge Län Magazine
"Extremely captivating! 5/5
This book is about the sisters Emilia and Madelen and their relationship and their respective lives. This is a feel-good book. Lighthearted but also serious and incredibly captivating. What a debut I must say!" - Boklusen
