At regular intervals, she went over to the bag, put her ear to the lid and listened. Once she thought it was scraping from inside, but there was no other sound, no whining, no moaning. Rigor mortis was probably taking its toll.
Lilja grows up in a chaotic family with an unstable mother, a sister two years older and a brother four years younger. When the mother comes home from the hospital with the newborn boy, something happens that marks the rest of Lilja's life. She is blamed for trying to kill her little brother.
As an adult, Lilja does everything she can to avoid her family, but they won't leave her alone. One day she meets a man in the forest. She feels an intense attraction to him and realizes that there really is such a thing as love at first sight.
Life slowly takes a new turn for Lilja. At the same time, the pressure from her mother and siblings intensifies and the situation becomes increasingly untenable. How long will Lilja accept being the evil sister?
